Fork upgrade

I have 2020 cube reactions hybrid pro which has a suntour xcm coil fork. I'm looking for advice for an upgrade that will fit and won't break the bank. I ride rough fire roads in Spain. Thanks guys.

The problem seems to be what will fit. I was hopeful of £200-300. I have another cube reaction performance 2021 which has been fitted with a sun tour xcr 120 mm which is much better but I’m told one wont fit this bike.

Is it a tapered steerer?
Boost wheels?
Will the frame accept slightly more travel?

Don't know but I think 120mm will be fine. The bike is in Spain and i'm not. The shop I bought it in has only suggested a Rockshox reba but at €550 which is more than I can justify. I have the spec sheet.

I guess I need to tour some bike shops in Spain and make sure I get something compatible. Mail order deals are attractive but I could get caught out

Don't worry, the 35 Gold is actually not a terrible fork IF.....if.... it has had a good service. Lots of the problems with these I think were caused by them leaving the factory dry and with excessive sticking. Having a full service done on mine opened my eyes to how plush and responsive they can be. Same with the rear deluxe shocks too. Seriously, its like night and day.

I have ridden it for week now and it’s soooo much better than Suntour, one of the best upgrade for the money what I have done to any of my bikes
