Hi,

New to the Forum, so apologies if this has been asked a thousand times :)

I have a scott eride40 hardtail and have some rockshox judy silver 120mm on at the moment which are okay, but I'm putting my bike on some light-ish downhill stuff and some really rough trails and its struggling/rattling the bike and my arms.

I know the bike is not really designed for it but there's no way I can afford to change and I really like my set up now, so prepared to run it and use it on anything my novice skills will allow and accept the conciquences/repairs

I have got some some fox float 34 performance 140mm and not sure wether to fit them, would this be a good upgrade and would the extra travel cause any issues with steering and feel or just improvements?
I'm not worried about warranty etc

TIA

Rusty

I expect they will make a massive improvement. The extra length will slacken the steering some.
I presume that is the Aspect eRide 40? Should be able to handle no problems.
