Hello folks,

Finnair states that e-MTBs, even without batteries, are prohibited. Has anyone had experience with this?
I could remove the motor, and pack it in another bag, or risk it?

Any experiences or help would be fantastic; thanks.
Mick.

Cant speak for finnair, but Ryanair also says ebikes are prohibited, but I just flew with the bike with the main battery removed.

I actually took the range extender battery in my hand luggage because it small enough in capacity to be allowed in hand luggage. The regs state no single battery over 160wh is allowed on a passenger plane , the range extender is 160wh,so is small enough to take, but must be carried in hand luggage.
