Anyone else decide they would put in some nice insoles after purchasing 100+ dollar MTB shoes?
Put some Dr. Scholl's active insoles in my Stamp Boa's and they transformed the shoe into what it should feel like. Also provides a bit of dampening to your feet and has helped with any numbness from pressure points.

I got them when I bruised the shit out of my heel on a dirt jumper, they made my Sleuths amazing. I always swore I wouldn't ride without a nice pair of insoles again. Until I bought new shoes and didn't bother(once again). Just switched them though and I once again question my sanity..

I don't see any threads about it, practically anywhere. Maybe it's because it's common sense... Now there is a common sense thread.

Almost all my shoes/boots are equipped with SuperFeet. I've considered putting insoles in my riding shoes, but haven't. Half of it is because I'm lazy, and the rest is because I'm not convinced an insert would help as much as they do on shoes where I walk normally.

What I don't understand is how manufacturers can charge us hundreds of dollars for shoes, and then use an insert that is simply a piece of foam that is stamped out. It bugs me.

Dude, everytime I pull the thing out I ask myself that SAME question.... lol
That being said, riding a bike is actually pretty hard on your feet, mtb much much more so. I'd be interested in the results you get from throwing in some superfeet into your shoes. Let me know if you end up upgrading. My riding shoes now FEEL like my other shoes which is a big + for me personally..!

I'm in the exact same boat! SuperFeet are great but i wonder if someone will come out with something more designed for riders

I use Specialized BG geometry insoles that come in three types, depending upon your arches. Then to stop knee pain, I use Specialized BG geometry wedges to cant the foot over to the left or right depending upon what is required. Most people need wedges whether they know it or not.
