Fitted a Cushcore to the rear today, nothing like the ball ache a lot of people say, but trickier than a normal tyre swap for sure, the secret is to really use the rim well to give everything a chance to fit.....
The reason for fitting one was we're pretty rocky round here, so I've been using DH casing tyres for the last couple of years, but needed a new one and there's nothing much available in my sizing, so had to put the original Maxxis Exo casing tyre on and wanted some extra protection.
Now, there's a load of hype on tyre inserts, saying "wow, I get sooo much more support from the tyre now", tbh I haven't noticed any change from the DH casing tyre I was running, but maybe that's not a fair comparison as the sidewalls were so much tougher than the Exo....
Anyone want to chime in?

I have been riding with CC since day one, no flats. My buddy with same bike and weight/height as me runs no CC and I can run lower PSI than him without having my tire fold/burp on hard corners.
