Hi All Emtb’ers out there,
I’ve got to post this thread about the repair to my jacket (forgive the pun... not intended). I had a small tear in the sleeve of my jacket and was recommended a company called Scottish Mountain Gear near Edinburgh to quote a repair. So pleased I got in touch. The repair is almost invisible from the outside and the inside material looks great. Saved a small tear becoming a bigger one and therefore no £100+
to replace the jacket.
Apparently they are specialists in all kinds of technical clothing repair. Cost £24 included in the price VAT and return postage.

This stuff is also quite good for fabric repairs :

Stormsure :

You just cut a small patch slightly larger than the are you need to repair, squeeze that in through the hole/tear/gap. Squeeze the glue in onto the patch, spread it about and slide the patch about so there's adhesive all over the patch then close up your tear over the patch and leave it weighted with something. Viola. It's waterproof and long lasting. The patch is on the inside of the material, so you don't see it and if you're careful sometimes you can't even see the repair.

You can do similar repairs on most materials yourself for a few pennies by using iron-on seam sealing tape such as:
