It is fair to say that I am 'old', unfit and overweight! I used to ride but over the years I have found other pass times and hobbies. Having played rugby for >30years I now struggle to maintain my fitness. I have decided I've had enough of being a couch potato and need to re-find the enjoyment of riding a bike again.
So... having test rode many e-bikes over the last few weeks, reading 'every' online article I could find, watching loads of you tube footage I was still very indecisive. It is after all, for me, a significant investment!
So yesterday I made the decision and bought a pre-owned 2018 Trek Powerfly FS 9 LT. It is probably total overkill for what I currently need but the price was right.
Rode for 10miles yesterday and every one of them had a smile on my face...
There is only one thing 'wrong' with the bike in that the seat on the dropper post rocks from side to side. I understand this can happen and is caused by wear; being of cheaper quality on the standard bike. So my first purchase is likely to be a replacement dropper post. My second purchase will be probably be new tyres (currently running Surly Dirt Wizard)
Anyway, thats enough rambling from me
Cheers
