I getting my EP8 bike soon with the 630w battery. I happen to have a new 504w battery.

As the new battery is going to be longer, will there be some sort of kit that will allow me to use the 504 battery as a spare?

I think it depends if you have a BT-E8035-L 504wh or if you have the BT-E8035. If it’s not the “L” model I don’t think it’ll work. The BT-E8035-L is the same length as the 630w battery.

I believe that Focus use a plastic spacer to allow use of 500 and 625wh Bosch batteries in the same frame.

A 3d printed spacer should do the job, I was planning on designing one however I am still waiting for my bike and have not been able to find detailed drawings of either battery

Edit - "The new internal BT-E8036 battery delivers 630 Wh and maintains the same shape of the current internal 504 Wh battery (BT-E8035). That being said, the battery is a few centimetres longer" from here

I agree with the above thought regarding a 3D printed spacer/adapter (perhaps with some metal bits as needed). Should be straightforward to create.

Yeah sorry, I wanted to post in a different thread about the retrofitting external batteries but can't find it anymore.
