Hi,

EDITED POST :
Ep8 to Ep801 conversion done, SCOR 4060Z Darfon Harness/Battery

Update done, Everything works perfectly
👌

Ep801 uses specific lockring that I didn't have to fix my chainrings.
EDIT : Ep8 LockRing Work on EP801...

In Short :

Darfon E4C0G-SN

SC-EM800

SW-EM800-L

Darfon E4C0G-S

Darfon E4C0C

You have to mod the Darfon Harness, as you see Ep8 and Ep801 power plug are different

Wiring
Small wire : Yellow to Orange wire.

I will update the post as soon as I have done several km
😉

1
⚠️
: If the motor is OEM (Factory Programmed) you may have an issue to getting it set to the correct wheel circumference, Local Dealer help needed or third party app.

2
⚠️
I can't say at this time if the wire connection will support the power for long term, if not soldering may be necessary.

OLD POST :

Anyone know the wire correspondence between Ep8 and Ep801 ?

I plan to convert my EP8 harness to EP801 (DARFON HANRESS).

I already have a compatible battery, and the other components too.
So I bought a Shimano EP801 harness to take the connector.

To clarify :
Ep8 and ep801 use 2 power cables (black/red) and 2 thinner ones (blue/yellow), but their location changes...

I would like to know the correspondence for yellow and blue cable on ep801 motor plug.

THANKS

It’s not possible so you will need a new harness and battery. Then depending on what display and switch you have you might need new ones of them as well.

I don’t believe anyone has cut the harness to find out so maybe you will have to buy or find a darfon ep801 harness to find out or just fit.

So it's an ep801 battery and presumably the motor is also an 801? Which then begs the question why are using an EP8 harness if you've already purchased the correct harness? Is it a self build project?
He has purchased a shimano harness I believe and he is trying to retro fit a darfon battery socket to the shimano one.

I will clarify, the Darfon Ep801 harness is not available as spare parts.

I want to switch frop ep8 to ep801 and use my Darfon Ep8 Harness for my new Ep801 motor.

The only thing that changes is the motor plug, 90° on ep801 and straight on ep8.

Ep8 and ep801 use 2 power cables (black/red) and 2 thinner ones (blue/yellow), but their location changes...

I would like to know the correspondence for yellow and blue cable on ep801 motor plug.

I don't know anyone who owns Scor 4060z ep801 version to compare (new models are equipped with it) 😉
