Firstly if this has been covered please feel free to delete and point me in the right direction.
I have two Hecklers, one is E8000 (Original Heckler) and the other EP8 (Heckler MX).
The EP8 in all modes feels more powerful - in truth too powerful the majority of the time. So I have been trying to recreate my EP8 assistance profile to match my E8000 - so they feel more alike and by rights I get more miles from the EP8 as compared to the E8000.
But in Shimano's infinite wisdom the two motors software is completely different so I can just copy the settings from one to the other.
So here is what I have on my EP8;
Eco
Level: 4/10 100%
Torque: 50nm
Assist start: 4/5
Trail
Level: 6/10 190%
Torque: 70nm
Assist start: 4/5
Boost
I never really use boost so that default.
From what I have read the Assist Start just relates to how quickly the system kicks in - 1 is slow and might be good for beginners as doesn't shoot off when you start peddling. Where 5 is fast and kicks in very quickly.
Level and Torque don't seem to be the same configuration as the E8000 otherwise you'd hardly use the EP8 motor at all.
Anyway, I'd be interested to get side-by-side comparisons of the two motors.
