Honestly, I think these guys should offer me a tee shirt or something, for not warning me about the risks and complications of connection drop out when updating the firmware using bluetooth.
They hint at it being difficult here.. but not enough for me to avoid doing it.
Which I wish I had done...

Yeah same for me. Failed part way through many times but after plugging away long enough finally got it done. Definitely will never be doing it sat in a car park or when I'm wanting to ride the bike any time soon. Can't honestly say I could notice any difference after it was done either.

Yep, bricked my computer as soon as I brought it home so couldn't ride all weekend. ST Unlocker is much more useful for tuning, and ST Ride is a good replacemote for Shimano's E-Ride app as well as for Strava. You do have to upload the GPX files into Strava manually, though.

I've completely lost confidence with the software now.
Will be asking the bike shop to do it all.
I guess it keeps me out of trouble - we've still got full lockdown up here...

THE whole motor unit has to go back to Shimano... to be replaced I think.
