Where ever
I have been there once and it was fun. I stayed not far from it so biked up to it. Never saw anyone else up there. I expect on a weekend it will be more busy. 👍

Hi. Eastridge …

We’re planning a weekend there soon.

Can anyone name say 5-10 must ride trails that I can search for on Strava heat maps. Start with some easier flow trails and then gradually get more scary steep. Thanks 🙏

Now then. We've been at Eastridge this Bank Holiday and have to say it was a real eye opener. The off-piste at Snailbeach are bloody steep, steepest I've probably ever seen. The Strava segments only show them as around 21% gradient but they're way steeper than that.

My advice if you've never been before would be to start on the marked red & black trails to get a feel for the place, then the off-piste shown as Eastridge Wood, then Maddox's Coppice trails, then move on to Snailbeach. We made the mistake of hitting the trails at Snailbeach first and my partner was not impressed at all :p

We also attempted to ride the ridgeline descent on the Stiperstones reserve. Oh my god, absolutely nuts. It was around 38% gradient on loose rock. Got halfway down and then had to climb down the rest. How people manage to ride that is beyond me, it was absolutely bonkers. Cracking views though, a real experience.

Strava heat maps is your best bet for finding all the trails, but the gradient isn't shown so look closely at the contour lines as the trails turn very steep very quick and there's no turning back!

Hats off to the guys that ride there regularly, it takes some skill to get down these trails with flow & speed.
