E8000 Display and motor connection issue

I've got a Commencal with an E8000 motor. Have done a few thousand KMs and never had an issue until now. Went away for 6 months and went to start it and it doesn't start.
- Battery is charged.
- Replaced the on/off switch as I read they can go flat.
- Fiddled with the connection points behind display.

Took it into my local bike shop. They pulled the motor out and think it is an issue with where the display connects to the motor. They said if they hold the connection in place tightly they could get the screen to light up. As soon as they took the pressure off the connection it would die.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm hoping for an easy fix. Thanks

Not sure of your residential placing but there is a motor tech service centre up on the Gold Coast..... eBike motor Centre.... they may point out a few examples to why cabling is causing a problem to fire up the motor....
No error codes on display is positive....
all the best mate!

Did they try moving the cable to another port on the display? Mine has 4 to chose from. On mine, one is used to connect to motor and one is used for the assist level switch. Did they try a new cable, even if they have to temporarily run it outside the bike frame?
