Hey folks. So joining my Simplon Rapcon and Focus Jam2 is also a winter fun machine, Leader Fox Brasa with a very good Panasonic motor. I got it a few months ago and had loads of fun with it. I installed a Bluto and changed the stock tyres to Jumbo Jims 26 x 4.0 tubeless. It is a great universal tyre but for next season I need something much better for mud and also snow. I would like the Schwalbe Al Mighty but as it it a massive 26x4.8 it won't fit in the back. Maybe the Maxxis FBR ? Anybody here who can recommend a grippy tyre for the winter muddy season for a fat bike? Thanks for yer tips.

I only saw your post now, but maybe you, or others, that will find this post in the future, are still looking.

I haven't tested it yet, but I was facing the same issue, that the Schwalbe AM 4.8" didn't fit the rear of my bike, so I just got a 45NRTH Dunderbeist 4.6" for the rear. I haven't measured it, but it looks like being a bit more than 5mm narrower, but likely it will stretch out over time, as I just mounted it two days ago.
The Dunderbeist is very aggressive and I am sure it will provide loads of traction. Check the MTBR-Fatbike-forums for ride reports on the DB and AM tires, as I am not qualified enough for that.
