Hi guys n girls just putting a warning out their if your thinking of buying an e Booz battery extender DONT I ordered one over a month ago and I’ve still not received it. They have not replied to any emails I’ve sent and I’ve just emailed them demanding a refund. Seriously crap company which is a shame as it looks a good product. Just putting this warning out as don’t want other people giving this company money. ????

Then I hope you have good luck with them eventually sending out the item you paid. I recently had my warranty case completed 3 years after my initial request... Different company but still it can happen. With credit card it's quite easy to get refunded.

I'll just wait for TrailWatts to complete their design :)
And do you know what really pisses me off. I’ve got a 2 month old 2019 focus jam2 6.8 plus which is a lovely bike BUT focus we’re going on about how great a smaller battery is and now they’ve upped their battery size on 2020 bikes to neatly 700 instead of the 352 I have in mine so feeling really ripped off now. Just sent focus a shitty email thought I’d feel better but I don’t. May be a as new focus for sale the way I’m feeling now ?????

I feel you! I have 2 months old 6.7 that I got cheap (these got dumped likely because of realease of those sweet Bosch powered machines). I still try to keep my Zen, enjoy the lightness and upgrade parts to my liking (Fork, stem, hubs, handlebar, saddle, grips, drivetrain to Shimano 12 spd).

No had a look when put it in basket it’s out of stock. Think I’ve decided to get rid of bike and get something else to be honest.

I LOVE my 2020 Specialized Levo Comp... 700WH... runs like butter.

It's only the Bosch powered bikes that have the bigger battery, they are still selling the smaller battery Shimano bikes for people who want a lighter bike with the TEC pack available for longer rides.

I have the smaller battery bike and tec pack but hope TrailwattsUK bring out a lighter extender soon ?

All companies upgrade their products, it the way this business works...
True but when a company spouts on about the advantages of a smaller battery all the time then suddenly change if you’ve just bought a 2019 bike you feel very slightly pissed off when all of a sudden they change their minds. So annoying

Facebook does that to a person :)

In the future, I'd recommend buying e-booze from here instead :

Drinks Direct.co.uk ® - Online Drinks Store for Wine, Champagne, Spirits and Gifts

Or for the Australians (who always get grumpy if you leave them out on an alcohol related thread)

https://www.boozebud.com/

The Aussie site is far better, every credit to them .. 10% off, free delivery and even Beer Advent Calendars ! And unlike e booz "orders are generally dispatched within 1 business day."
Uber eats delivers booze much quicker. I also have a bottle shop 1 block from my house.
It’s Australia Zimmer, if your buying booze from a website your not an Aussie.

What’s booz got to do with batteries? I know ya being sarcastic trying to cheer me up but I’m fucking fuming if they never had a Facebook page would they even of sent the battery extender??? They’ve ignored 3 emails so that would of been 400 quid gone and very little chance of getting it back ?

Their service and communication has been absolute crap and you're completely correct to warn people not to buy one. As would be expected, its really really wound you up - to the point of thinking of selling the bike as these things can do sometimes.

BUT - you seem to have achieved the impossible at the last minute and you're actually going to get one.

I can't tell you not to be angry because I can relate to your frustrations. I'd only say that we only live once and you're only wasting your life still being pissed about it - especially when you've got the win.

The crazy thing is that in 4 months time, you'll probably consider buying a second one because it's so convenient to lob in a backpack for extra range ! :) Lets face it, you ordered it because it's neat !

Yeh it’s really pissed me off but hopefully it will turn up soon and cheer me up. Went out on bike yesterday and realised how good a bike it is. So hopefully this will warn other people about e Booz which is a shame as it looks a really good product ?if anyone does buy one don’t use their contact form on their website go straight to their Facebook page. No wonder Italy is in such financial state ????

Well nothing really but you do sound like you could use some.
I was replying to Zimmer as his reference to Aussies was a little off.
But to keep on topic, I understand your frustration. I’ve ordered parts before from overseas and have had a similar experience to you. Not as much money but I guess it’s the risk we take.
I don’t use Facebook so you could imagine my frustration when I am now a weirdo because apparently that’s the standard form of communication these days.
I can only suggest to try not dwell on this as in the end it is just a battery and there are far more pressing issues I am sure. I have learnt that when dealing with other people you will always be disappointed at some stage or another and there is not a great deal that you can do to change that.
Getting angry about this is only going to make you unhappier and stressed out. Both which aren’t a good thing.
At least you have now gotten a response from them and your battery is on its way, that’s a positive thing, maybe try focus on that and start planning some big rides!
