I've got this wrong, haven't I?

Giving my fork lowers a service, and did my usual, took something to bits without remembering how it went together. Should the spacers be on the other side of the adapter? i.e. post-adapter-spacers-calliper-more spacers-bolt. If so, what's the point in having a second bunch of spacers under a bolt?

It's on a 160S/Zeb.

Ta. Makes total sense. Weird that the ancient XT brakes on my old bike have no spacers/cones at all. It's just bolts, calliper and the adapter.
