I have a fox transfer on my lapierre , however I'm sick of it getting gummed up, and the service tools / process is not worth it. Had it serviced once but it's doing it again so any recommendations on a good , easy to DIY service your self dropper post? Thanks

any of the more common cartridge based ones from the TransX factory. (Brand X, One-up etc.)
all of them strip down in minutes and replacement cartridges/keys/bushings are all cheap and easily replaced

Couldn't agree more. I went for One up because of the serviceability and because it was really short for a given extension.

Yup. A Fox Transfer came on my Santa Cruz when I bought it three months ago, and it's already acting twitchy. After the Transfer on my other bike died for the second time, I replaced it with a BikeYoke Revive.

BEST. DROPPER. EVER.

There are no cartridges that need special tools, actuation is like butter, the pressure is adjustable, and if air gets in the oil, bleeding takes ten seconds while the dropper is on the bike.
