This was another known, foreseen "benefit" of Brexit - Third Countries have long been prohibited from bringing POAO into the EU.

It's even explicitly covered on the Gov.uk website:
You cannot bring POAO (products of an animal origin) such as those containing meat or dairy (e.g. a ham and cheese sandwich) into the EU
And the Dutch officer wasn't "smirking" - despite what Sky's bollocks, biased reporting says. If anything he looked embarrassed.

....and the lorry driver thought it was a huge joke as well. Controlling the import of certain foodstuffs is one thing.......confiscating someone's packed lunch is a joke. Thankfully the EU drivers entering the UK can bring their packed lunch with them. I wonder if they pack enough for their return journey??
