Hey team, first time poster so go easy on me ?
I see a few of you have made diy TEC pack from 18650 batteries. Have they worked well?
I’m thinking of trying to use my Makita 18v batteries since I already have a bunch of them, they charge quickly and it’s not hard to throw a few in my backpack for the longer trips. If I use 2x 6ah batteries it will give an extra 216wh (they have 10x 18650cells in each pack) then once flat I can charge up on the normal double Makita charger. Doing it this way will cost me no extra to buy a charger or batteries since I already have them. I hear these batteries can put out a max current of 40amps if needed so should be plenty for this situation.
Has anyone tried something like this? Can you see any issues?
Thanks in advance
Regards John
