After meeting a guy with an incredible home built ebike conversion at Glentress a few weeks ago I am interested in what’s out there to convert a normal bike and the costs etc . Any experience welcome .
Iam thinking of converting my wife’s almost new 29er hardtail , but it may be cheaper to sell it and just but an ebike ??

I built one when I was 15, although you would not recognize it as an ebike of today.
I basicly welded some brackets to a normal bike to take an old car battery and a Morris Minor starter motor.
It wasnt long before the motor burnt out but was fun at the time with a range measured in yards, not miles
