recently had to remove my rear wheel for some LBS attention. when replacing it I noticed the magnet for the sensor had moved down or nearer the hub.. the magnet attaches to a shaped dumbbell thing on the rotor so I moved magnet to the bulbous end where it looks as if it should go. it is within the vicinity of the pickup .
Since then my mileage reading is way out almost double .
Anyone know the correct place for the magnet .?
Will check in the morning if the readout has changed to KMs

If you look at the sensor, it's a round bit with a straight long bit .. The magnet lines up with a tiny arrow on the back which is invisible to the human eye. But the arrow basically is where the straight bit meets the round bit if that makes sense.

However, your thinking that it's in KM's rather than Miles would make more sense. That's almost double (5/8) and if the sensor is in the wrong place you'd more likely get a sensor error rather than a double sensor reading.

Found this and the positioning is correct.
Also readout is miles not KM...so will continue to investigate.
Somewhere there must be a setting for wheel size ...have not found it yet./
