I've had good results with Hans In all but the muddiest conditions. Not the last word in grip, but a decent balance.I just ordered one , for that price why not

I think with no power it runs in "Open Mode" ..
I guess you could add the box down the line if you wanted, so you'd have like a self adjusting shockwiz. But think it needs an accelerometer too .. no idea if you can add those on .. ultimately they're just boxes and sensors. Probably needs a new thread !
