Disassembling Abus Battery Lock?

Any clever bods out there know if you can pull these lock mechanisms apart; the actuator arm on a new replacement is about 45° out of line so it doesn’t line up with the latch mechanism in the bike.

Sounds like they sent the wrong replacement.
