Could I please ask a favour? For those of us that want to build our own batteries for the E10, it would be great if someone could please post some detailed photos of the current Dengfu battery case, showing any part numbers etc along with external dimensions. Hopefully we can then source an empty case from the likes of AliExpress etc.
Its not essential to have the bespoke battery case, but it would be nice!

I am looking for space for custom batteries in a frame for XL (if that is any difference). Someone tried to squeeze 21700 batteries in there? Maybe 46800 in the future??
Do you mean the battery lock and the base for connecting the battery? I'm not sure, but it only gets you when you buy batteries in addition, and are currently sold with a lower capacity and more expensive. That's why I'm not interested i try build my own.The electrical connectors fitting at the base and battery lock mechanism at top are a fixed length for the same standard battery, at least on the prebuilt bikes. Someone who has purchased just the frame would be able to confirm if the frame also comes with those already fitted.
Either way, if you're inclined, I suppose you could move or remove them to suit.
LiPo batteries. (Take them out to charge them though) but you can increase your ride time 20-30% in the same size pack. I use them on my diy bbshd and they get me around some heavy up hill riding. 2-3 hours. The last hill on the way home is so steep it's hard to keep the front wheel down. Why did you build a 52v package? Is it not unhealthy for the engine? There are no engine errors? Do you use a special firmware? How does this relate to driving time in relation to 48v? Or have you added more batteries for more capacity?Guys aren't you getting a bit over excited about actually how much W/h's you really need. I'm using Samsung 50E 21700 batteries in 14S3P format. I've yet to fully flatten it ( I'm only using about 500W/h's ) over 3 hrs of riding, doing in excess of 1K metres of climb all on single track and often steep climbs.
Now that battery pack is nearly 800W/h's, fits easily in the battery compartment ( its less than the length of the cover ) so I reckon pretty easily 4- 5 hours of riding, I don't want to do any more than that.
If you really want to push things I reckon you could get a 14S4P pack of Samsung 50E batteries in there but you will be up around 4 kilos of battery and would you use the 1000 W/h's ever ?

Well someones done their homework ?. I like the idea that one day a bike might be able to ride a weekend on one charge. I have a bbshd (still waiting for my e10) at the moment running on LiPo batt. 44volts. LiPo last a long time and the bike is a lot of fun. But normally people run these set ups on 52volts and I have been told the performance is much better then mine. Why 52 volt packs ? From historical musings it was deemed for electric motors, the higher the voltage the less amperage needed, giving less heat at higher Watts with a bonus of higher cadence. All things I wanted.
However its now 2021 and engine developers seem to have got around the heat problems, the low cadence and still manage to pack a punch using techniques such as Field Weakening at 36 volt and 48 volts.
However having watched the major motor manufacturers move from 24 volts ( first Ebike motor I owned ), then 36 volts and now 48 volts, its only going to be a matter of time before 52 volts is fashionable and the likelyhood of ending up at 72 volts which is deemed the most efficient
Capacity wise there's not too much in it, but for very little extra space the 3 extra cells ( which means the pack is only 21mm longer ), you get an extra 60- W/h's
