Delta SH Cranks

I bought some of these cranks but they don't have any of those lock tabs included. Is that normal?

I ended up using the ones that came with the bike but they don't fit properly between the two allen bolts. So I had to file them down for the holes to line up with the bolts.

you don't really need those tabs. But no harm in fitting them so long as you can torque the pinchbolts enough with them fitted.

I wondered about those tabs too so I made them fit also. No problems. Probably need them as Gary suggests.

They do stop the crank coming off but it would be a last resort after the bolts loosened and the lock nut somehow fell out. So probably not needed but I’m ocd
