Hey!
Need help deciding on my first ebike. Currently riding a Scott Genius 900 tuned which is an awesome trail bike but would love to have an ebike to explore more trails in my 2 hour rides.
Trying to decide between a Tazer Mx Pro and a Canyon Spectral:ON CF 8 as with current ongoing sales I can get either for about 4.5k (was considering a turbo levo comp but they're about 1k more).
The tazer definitely has better non-motor components overall which makes it's potentially a better value imo but I'm concerned about the dual crown fork as I've never had one and it having the slightly older Shimano motor (EP8 vs EP801) and a smaller battery (625wh vs 900wh). I also wonder about the warranty and serviceability of the tazer vs the canyon given it's sold through MX shops.
FYI I'm a larger fit rider at 6'1 225lb with skills at a blue/black level (haven't done full DH) and primarily looking to have more fun mostly intermediate local trails but also occasionally ride slightly bigger stuff. Nothing too crazy so both bikes are plenty capable.
Hoping to hear others thoughts on this decision!
