CX Race Edition Questions

Probably a quick question: considering getting a Pivot Shuttle AM, and the Team builds have some stuff I really like and want (carbon rims and XX among them). Those builds - unfortunately, perhaps, depending on your viewpoint - also includes the CX Race motor. I have enough experience with non-Race CX motors to know that I like them and I don't need extra punch/power/whatever, so my question really is exactly how different IS the Race version, if you use the non-Race modes? Does EMTB on a non-Race motor feel the exact same as EMTB on the Race motor? Or do you have to actually flash non-Race firmware to get that (or does even THAT not get you to "normal" behavior ...)?

My recollection is that you lose one of the normal modes when getting the race mode but the normal modes are not changed from the torque values in the non-race version. What might be different in all modes is the longer over-run. I don’t know if that is unique to the race mode. A highly unhelpful post I know, but from a very happy regular cx shuttle owner. My riding buddies on non Pivot emtb’s make me go first up the technical climbs, even though I’ve only ridden mountain bikes for 2 years. It’s 100% the Shuttle.
