Cube stereo ebike tyres

Anyone with the cube stereo 2020 ebike gone from the 2.6 tyres to 2.8? A mate is looking to do it, but worried about clearance on the back wheel and frame.

I haven't on my new 2020 160 TM bike, however I did do it on my last Cube Stereo 160 Race. I used the Eddy Current 2.8 and it fitted fine. It was better than the Schwalbe 2.8 Nobby Nic which had almost no clearance. If I put too much air in it then it actually rubbed.
