My partner and I are currently bike touring in Asia starting in Hokkaido, Japan last year then South Korea and now been in China for past 5 weeks. My partner is riding a Merida Big9 400 ebike which we purchased in Sapporo and we are struggling with the limited capacity this battery offers. We are looking at the option of upgrading the current 504wh Shimano E8035 battery to a 630wh Shimano battery. I have read various reports about whether this is possible or not and keen on some advice.
