Comp out of stock

I have been riding a friends 2019 base turbo levo for a week or so, and I love it. I am looking to get my own. Problem is that there is only 1 2020 XL Base in all of Minnesota. There are no Comp’s to be found. Looking at Specialized’s web site Comp’s are out of stock. I would really like the black comp with 700 wh battery, and since the bike isn’t cheap, I would rather spend the money now with the upgraded components than spending a lot on a spare battery.

Just read an article on how bike sales are up 50% year over year, and Minnesota is the 5th largest purchaser in the states.

So the question I have is are the Comp’s sold out for the year? Or are there just delay’s because of c-19? If it is fall before any are available… there goes the riding season in Minnesota.

I am 60 yrs old and 6ft 7in tall, so I will have to do a few fitment mods. (high rise bars? Or stem?) Thoughts?
Thanks!

Hi as Zimmerframe said I am 6ft 6 inches tall and ride a 2019 turbo levo comp. Love the bike , had a demo on several bikes before deciding on the levo Loved it the most. I run Spank Spike 50mm riser bars by 800mm wide and a riser stem I use a BBB BHS - 25 high rise oversize stem designed for e-bikes for most riding as it gives me more Back and neck comfort From an old racing injury I have, and sometimes swop it out for a Race Face Respond DH-AM 10 degree rise stem Which is a bit shorter if I’m going to be playing on fast steep twisty washed Out tracks in the local woods as it sharpens things up a tiny bit, but only if I can be bothered because at the end of the I’m not skilled enough to really tell on back to back runs Hope that helps

Sorry to take so long to reply. I finally picked up my bike last Wednesday. Looks like it was one of the last base XL's out there. Martin8 I got 40mm riser bars and specialized comp stem 75 17*. So far feels good. I am still tweaking positioning.
I have an older 2001 specialized enduro that I picked up a few years ago. It was a XL but still a bit small for me, I made do. It came with a nicer seat and pedals, so I am liberating them for my Levo. Will donate old bike to someone deserving.
The fact that I actually seem to fit on this bike is half the joy.
In Northern Minnesota there are a lot of ATV trails. This last weekend I was at the family cabin and I rode into town with my cousin. He rode his trek on the shoulder of the road, and I rode the ATV trail in the ditch. What a hoot! Then a good stretch of the trail is an old railroad bed. I rode that flat bit with power off, nice.
Looks like I will have to save up for the 700wh battery.
