Challenging myself to ride 85 miles tomorrow

Will be the biggest ride I've ever done but looking forward to the challenge.

The amount of climbing doesn't look too bad for that sort of distance ..even so you will be pushing it a bit to get around without switching off / running out of battery ..

Giant set on low eco. He has a thread about it.

I did an eco test on my GIANT Stance today

And was very surprised with the results. I did 38 miles in eco. A lot of climbs, on road and off road. I lost 1 bar of energy all ride. I got back with 4 energy bars and 63% battery left. I was out for 4h and 17m. I spent about 99% of the ride in eco. I lost my first bar of energy after...

the only people I have see that can do that weigh as much as an empty crisp packet.. I came back from a 33 mile, 3300 foot ride a while back with 7% left and another guy, half my size on the same bike still had way over half battery left...

proper road tyres and a decent chamois will make that route far less unenjoyable.
Actually, other than the small amount of climbing a normal road bike in lycra would be faster and more enjoyable and a similar overall effort. (dependent on rider weight and fitness obvz)

dont get me wrong, its a killer ride mate but there is no earthly way I could do that off road with my battery.. not sure about on the road, I rarely try it.. pukka job!

I'm yet to do eco tests off road gonna have to wait a few months after this lol
