chain sorter on a base 2020 levo compared to 2020 comp

the chain is shorter on the base 2020 levo than the comp, by some considerable amount of links i have binned it now but approx 10-12 both were on original chains

Any ideas why i know this may be a stupid question
i seem to have less drive train issues with the base

any ideas??

The only difference would be the mech....is one GX long cage and the other NX short?

what is the recommended length does anyone know odd one with the chain length

Comp with Gx long cage is 116

any recommendations on setting up the rear derailleur i am close to take a big hammer to it
