- Chain Length Thron2 6.9 medium

Is there any specific correct chain size (number of links) for a Thron2 6.9 medium ? I am fitting it with an XTR M9100 chain which came with 126 links, way too long.

Look up how to measure a chain properly, loads of guides online. Biggest gear on cassette and around chainring, add 4/5/6 links depending on speed of cassette etc.

thanks, I thought chains just went on in a standard size ill look it up

Whatever chain length you end up with, don't discard the surplus links. Instead, keep them in your pack with a magic link and use for those times when you damage the chain trailside.
