Just an update on the wear factor of Chain (KMC E11T NPNP ) and Cassette (Shimano's SLX M7000, 11-Speed, 11-46T ) . These both came standard with my Vitus ESommet VR back in January 2019. Since then I've be riding the set-up really hard, big jumps, drops, and climbs etc.... About the end of December 2019 chain started skipping at the back cassette slightly only rode a couple of times since 2020 but the chain was totally stretched out beyond any limit on my gauge but never broke.... the cassette was also worn out especially in the low end chainrings hence eventually the worst chronic chain skipping ever, just tried it to see how long they'd last. Replaced them both same as originals and all is good again, front chairing is fine remarkably. Anyone got any options they have tried that may be cheaper.?

SLX is still about the best quality & durability/price option out there for an 11 speed cassette.
Any of the cheaper 11spd SRAM chains (PC1110 or PC1130) should last just as long for less than half the price of the KMC you've fitted

I got about 300 miles from the pc1130 before showing a snug 5% on the gauge, this is about the same as I get from the kmc ebike spec ? chain.

I've recently picked up Connex-10Se and an pc x1 to see if they are worth the extra dough.

My new Ebike is fitted with 12 speed SRAM and after looking at the prices (£85 for a chain)
l've cleaned and oiled the chain regularly and at 350 miles of mixed on/off roading in Derbyshire grit it's still showing 0.25 on the gauge, where 0.25-0.35 is "new" and 0.75 is "replace"
