I plan to sell my 2021 Stance E+2.
I just bought a phone, my last one was in 1999.
Would you have a link i should go to?
I was happy just pedaling like we did 40 years ago. Now i guess a buyer might want to see the distance done, the battery health, etc...
I just paid 80$ to own my phone so i have no contract. If i choose to use it i pay 12$ for a month.
The bike runs like a charm, i just changed the chain. I do not want updates, i just want to see, show a few numbers.

If I understand correctly, you want/need the app but the phone has no data plan/internet.
That's OK, go to a place with WiFi, like Starbucks, or a pub etc. Ask there what their WiFi password is. Then sign up for your appstore (Google or Apple), then download the app.
You'll need to create a Giant account once you run the app, then you're done.
That said, you may need to meet the proposed buyer at a place with WiFi in order to connect the app to the bike.
Assuming you have no WiFi at home?

@1oldfart Ask your grandchildren! :)

I had the good fortune to be in on the computer age from the ground up (wardrobe sized cabinets, whirling cassettes, flashing lights and punched cards etc). Ditto the mobile phone era (my first mobile had a Bakelite handset connected to the base station by a curly cable, FFS!). But as soon as I stopped working, I started to get left behind. I am using my laptop right now and my pretty good mobile is in my shirt pocket, but when I get stuck with the mobile, I ask my grandson (14) or my elder daughter (44). It makes them feel useful and they do it for free! :) I feel no shame, why not consult people that know stuff better than me?

Take pictures.. detailed pictures, post them to Pinkbike if in the US or Canada, Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, eBay. For selling a bike in the UK, goto google.com and type in "selling a bike in the UK" and see what resources appear. Read up a bit. If people ask you to ship a bike, unless its through an official site that will cover your seller experience such as ebay or Pinkbike.. dont ship. Sell local, and wait for the right buyer. Dont accept personal checks for payment and for cash, meet in a public place, police dept etc. Some people will offer digital payments such as Zelle in the US. these are ok as long as you confirm with the bank that the payment is non-reversible. Be patient and take your time to find the right buyer.

Thanks for all the replys. At home i have wifi, i use my 11 years old laptop and i was told my
cheap phone can use wifi like if i took a picture i could upload it.
It just that i am used to my 5$ watch and my LBS is far and in winter it is too far.
I might ask a younger guy or my LBS in 2 months, i am not in a rush.
I know my nephews or any 5 year old can solve my *problem*.

By the way since nov(when i got my 2021 Yamaha/Giant Stance E+) i did no upgrade.
Should i ask my shop to do them in 2 months?

Sure, yes. Get the LBS to do the update for you. It shouldn't cost you anything under warranty.

I don't know about Yamaha upgrades to their operating system (whatever it is that system upgrades do), but I used to get every upgrade going on the Shimano e8000 and never noticed anything of benefit to me. I haven't bothered on the Shimano EP8 since I bought the bike. Maybe if Shimano told me what the upgrade did and, more importantly, made an attempt to convince me................
