Current status. 16 mins into a ride. 2.7mile push home.

first time ever I didn’t take my ruck sack. Only heading out for a local cross country bridle bimble before famo duties.

came down this little trail in the woods…

Got to bottom totally flat…

massive hole in rear tyre!

It’s off a bridle way…but enduro bikes get up it a lot…

the tree brigade have been busy laying trees across it…. But this was wedged pointing up in the rut I was riding in….

Bit over the top I think…. Unless a major coincidence ??‍♂️

note to self, always take rucksack and spare tube. And stay out of the ruts!!!

push home isnt the worst.

I hardly carry a tube with me, then again a hole that size I don’t think a tube will help much unless you have tape to wrap around the tire and rim.

Had the same in April in West Sussex (near Slindon), *BANG* sealant sprayed everywhere, what a mess. Got lucky and about a mile push back.

(still a bit of Muc-off sealant on the offending piece of wood).
