If all the weight is on one pedal would this bend anything and damage the bike?
I can't imagine there would be enough side-loading to damage any of the crank related components by lying the bike that way. These parts are designed for quite a stressful life.
I transport my RM Altitude in the car this way, but it does use a standard bottom bracket.
If your bike uses a Bosch/Brose,Yamaha etc then I would think those units would handle 20kg of side load without breaking a sweat.
You obviously don't have the tourist attraction potholes we have. BTW I remove the pedal to protect my car as much as my bike.
