Hi All.
As shown in the pic, a portion of the bead on my rear tyre has parted from the rim. It's a Maxxis Ardent Race 27.5 x 2.20. It's very annoying because the tyre is only a few months old.
Last time out on the trail, I knew the rear tyre made made contact with the stub of a tree root and I felt lucky I didn't get a flat then. There was no obvious damage. I've then used the bike to commute around 60km and it went flat overnight.
I'll take the tyre off to have a good look for damage. But if it is undamaged, is it likely to be weakened to the point where it should not be run tubeless any more?
The other options would be to run a tube, or just replace the tyre.
