Tried the Bros as my motor of choice in the Turbo Levo. Against the Focus Jam 2 with the Shimano Steps system....
Preferred the Bros motor but not the rest of the bike ...bought the Focus as it is lighter but would prefer to have the Bros....but at the end of the day both bikes/engines are fantastic ......

I think the Brose as adapted by Specialised should almost be considered a different motor - with most other systems the motor/controls/software etc are the same from bike to bike, but the Brose has considerable variations between different bikes. I believe Specialized went with it as it enabled them to do what they want with battery/controls/integration, rather than have to be stuck with a specific template.

I.E if i liked the motor on a levo, i wouldn't take that as a given i would like the motor on another Brose equipped bike
