Is anyone else noticing that as you ride past people they take a glance at the bottom bracket/motor presumably to see if you’ve gone to the “dark” side.

I do it too. Never look at the rider, always the bike. ?

I used the Shimano BB-UN55 bottom bracket (68mmx127.5mm) to replace an old ball bearing bottom bracket. Easy to install and glad I got it. Highly recommended to upgrade your current crap bike's bottom bracket.
