Bosch performance cx WALK mode

I have the Bosch performance cx rim magnet system on my Canyon mountain bike.
I am sometimes using the walk mode on really steep uphill portions, impossible for me to climb it otherwise .
The walk mode “S”…
It is not consistent at all, once too slow, another time accelerates , too much power.
Also, before it engages, it needs a backward torque on the wheel!
Is it only me that has this problem?
Motor firmware: 8.16.0 (Europe)

There are a few threads covering this issue with not much resolve.
A recent update certainly changed the way walk assist works and for me it's been a negative.
