Bosch motor guard for the side. And is there a battery position adjustment

Is there any guard for the left side bulge on the bosch motors, the black metal part. That thing is just begging for rock strikes

Is there anyway to adjust the battery position? Mine is sticking out higher at the top and I am wondering if there is anyway to adjust position of the top latch
