My local shop just informed me that Bosch is investigating about dead powertubes. (Only him has 3 battery dead from new bike).
Bosch told that there is a defect on a batch of capacitators and the battery dead early after first few recharging. Basically the battery goes to autoprotection and the bike doesn't turn on.
They are investigating to understand the exact serial number range affected .
Bosch told my local shop to avoid quickly removing and putting on the charging connector .
Maybe Rob can try to investigate with his big insider Bosch contacts.
I think this story is obviously kept hidden to avoid the huge damage to the image.
I have done at least 10 full recharging cycle so I hope (!) to be safe.
