"Was a good day actually. I really liked the timed uphill sections, adds a new challenge to an event."

Actually timed hill climbs were a part of the program at early mtb events including the first world championships held in Durango, CO. back in 1990. Of note is the fact that one of your countrymen name of Tim Gould won the hill climb portion that year.

Especially noteworthy is the last item I feel!

Really makes alot of sense to do hill climb features with eBikes as that is a large part of their appeal and why not make use of that fact with some friendly competition?

The first ever Tweedlove Enduro had 2 timed climbs in it.
