From whyte website.

Please note: our custom motor covers are not currently compatible with the aftermarket Bosch eBike Alarm and Connect module to add bike tracking and alarm functionality to your Smart System bike.

I've had a Bosch GPS tracker fitted to my E160. A small bit of the plastic cover had to be removed.
This was some 150 miles ago and I have ridden in a fair bit of rain & mud.
So far there have been no problems, although the tracker is far from perfect.

How do you mean far from perfect? Any problems with it?
As a location device it works. I have tested it a few times by having someone take it for a walk.
There is a load alarm on the bike, it cannot be turned on and the location on my phone is very accurate.
There is a 'transport' mode for when moving the bike around in a vehicle.
However, this requires a strong 4G signal to enable.
As a lot of my riding is in poor mobile coverage, I often cannot turn it on or off.
It can track rides, but in my experience this is very poor.
Most tracked routes turn out to be straight lines from various points.
So in summary I am confident that if the bike was unfortunately stolen I would have a reasonable chance of knowing where it was.
However, the transport mode is not very usable and the tracking is rubbish.

Old thread but.... 100% agree with the above

Fitted one to my Cube, the alarm is nice for when it's parked up in the garage I guess as it's an audible deterrent and stops the bike being turned on.
The alarm goes off constantly when the bike is in the back of the van on the way to a ride so I have to enable travel mode - got to North York Moors at the weekend with no phone reception so couldn't turn travel mode off - that's a big design issue.

Also with the alarm fitted whenever you clean the bike you have to unlock it by powering it on and for some bonkers reason Bosch automatically start a ride as soon as you turn the bike on - I would love to see a manual Start/Pause/Stop setting. So everytime I clean the bike I get a 15 minute ride added to Strava and my health apps of the bike basically being pushed around my drive.

It's a nice module, having an audible alarm, GPS tracking at least until the point where they realise it's fitted and cut it out, and not being able to power the bike on without unlocking it with the app - but from a software point of view it's very poorly thought out.
