Not on Facepuke.
I'll use my imagination as I have seen what they can do to my favourite off-piste bike trails. More power, dig deeper, more power! :(

I'm surprised it hasn't happened before now. South Wales is renowned for illegal scrambling due to the amount of mountains. It's a big popular past time undertaken by a majority of young and middle age men. It always has been. Unfortunately if they have not got access to an MX track, this will be the next best thing.
Breaks my heart to see this. You'd think there would be a bit more respect from the mx riders.

the prick in the video looked like he couldn't ride a donkey never mind the bike he was grappling with. Enough evidence in the video to find him and prosecute.

Sadly, there are a few people who come and do it to the trails round here too. It's completely illegal. They ride on unregistered bikes on the road to get there and then just trash the hell out of the trails.

I've almost been hit twice (as in violently) for even considering to ask them what they're doing and twice on the bike I've been missed by them riding into me - to which on both times they laughed and rode off.

To make it worse, landowners see the damage and then want MTB bikes stopped as they presume they trashed their ground on the way in and out when they see the mess afterwards.

Unfortunately, the people like that have the mentality that they don't care and they can do what they like. They don't have any respect for anyone's work or even other people .

A shame. Just watched Gmbn's "A day in the life of a a trail builder" earlier, and im sure thats where that was at.

I'll be honest ,and i dont mean to lump them all together, but im always wary when meeting a group of scrambler riders when out on forestry tracks/hills by myself. They tend to be in groups, and so far most ive met tend to be of the younger "undesirable" type. Might be unfairly judging them, but i try to stay out of their way if i can.

Saw a group before coming towards me as i was standing at the edge of the track, and i noticed one look at another, gesture with his leg in a kicking motion, and looked like they had a laugh.

Pretty sure if i hadnt moved a bit further from the edge of the track, i was getting shove with his leg on the way past.

there are loads of mx tracks here, theres also loads of green lanes, I know because I used to ride them myself.. riders know the area, you dont end up on bike park wales by accident..

besides, Wales is currently in lockdown and I dont think this qualifies as exercise.. so mx tracks being closed is irrelevant.

EDIT: oh it definitely has happened before now, one of the guys I used to ride with ended up on there a couple of times at the weekend while riders were on it.

I was out with three mates in the Peak District on our analogue bikes and we came across a mixed bunch of quad bike and scrambler riders hooning about on the gravel road. It was full on rain at the time. They all went to some trouble to spray us with gravel as they sped past. Dickheads. For the first time, I could see why people are tempted to fit garotte wires across trails!! (n)
I would never do such a thing, but I can recognise the temptation.

The riding on private land part they might have been able to talk their way out of . The throwing stones could and should get them into serious trouble .

Ignore the log in or sign up bit, scroll down past the first large picture, then on the second large picture scroll down to the middle of the picture and click on the play arrow button.
I tried that but I just got naked people vigorously exercising together... maybe I clicked on the wrong bit, I'll PM you the link so you can check for me.

I have ridden local trails for years around rct an I still do. It I have always had respect for trails an the whereabouts I ride. I would definitely not ride BPW on a dirt bike. Even if I did not know the local trails an was guided there I would stop It don’t take a genius to work out where u are an that u should not be there. I hope they all get caught or fall an have a bump

What the hell is pr0n ? Is this like kiwi digital fake porn or something ? (asking for a friend....)
Can't type p*o*r*n and get through my companies internet filters. We have them real tight to stop the bosses slacking off and watching things they shouldn't.

Sadly there's plenty of bellends to go around in every activity. Ideally the community understands the general implications vs personal ones (ie you might not get in trouble but every one then gets banned) and tries to de-swayed the few bellsends from doing this stuff. I was reading about a few Surrey hills MTBers taking liberties digging trying to make it more bike park without permission. They failed to understand the private land owner might just have enough and ban everyone. I've seen convoys to track days degenerate into gumball runs, the guys driving were middle aged, married with kids etc one was even a GP. It's one the reasons I avoid large groups men for activities, things tend to get out of hand with bravado and egging on and normally stain nice people do crazy stupid things.

That staff guy was brave, I wouldn't have confronted them as you saw with them throwing stones it only takes one hothead misjudge 'scaring' you with his bike for it to end in tragedy. Best would to 'befriend' them till the police arrive. Hopefully the MX community has enough shame to find out who these riders are and turn them in for their own reputation.

Hopefully they catch them. And then they do community service rebuilding the trails until the trails are back to the way they were before.
