Mission Control Bike Computer to Supplement TCD2 on Tero 5.0

New to EMTBs and just ordered a Turbo Tero 5.0. Looking at the possibility of complementing the on board electronics with a bike computer with a map display for route planning and directions. Also want to be compatible with a radar monitor like the Garmin Varia. I read a lot about the Garmin and Wahoo gear, just not sure how well they’ll integrate with this bike and controls.

Old thread, but what I did was add a Garmin Edge 530 for maps when out of cell range, and a cell phone mount for running Ride on trails and back/dirt roads, and as a big, obvious Varia display when road riding, in conjunction with a mirror. One complaint is that the buttons on the Edge are too small for my fingers so its not easy to manipulate when on the bike, but it isn’t really an issue - I just don’t bother messing with it while riding.

It would be nice to have a “one display does all” solution, but this works out well, if a little cluttered. Also the Edge displays the Varia signal which is nice when I dont have the phone with me, but the huge screen of an iphone really makes a nice Varia display.

I switch from Ride to Varia when on the road with traffic as Ride keeps running in the background and all the data is there whenever you want it. It would be nice if Varia ran in the background and was prioritized on the display when activated but I guess thats too much to hope for.
