Hi everyone,
I have been trying to explore some 'off-piste' black trails in my local area.
There are some great trails on Trailforks that I've been following, with my phone.
This is far from ideal. Picture the scenario;
1. Big rock drop into 'Y' fork? Which way do I go? .....Let me get my phone out.
2. I think I'm on the trail now, this is great, but where's the proper end of the trail? .....Let me get my phone out.
3. My Garmin Fenix 5X is nice and heavy duty, but no touchscreen, and its proprietary Trailforks app is next to useless.
4. Hold on, where's my phone? Oh, there it is. I wish I didn't have to bring it with me.
5. I found a Garmin eTrex 30 in the wardrobe, it looks like it has a colour screen and might work, but I can't find the 1980s charging cable.
As a sidenote; I am a pro member on Trailforks, and have downloaded the .IMG file for my local trails.
Any tips?
