After yesterdays snow here in Surrey I resolved that I would go out this morning for a ride over to Swinley.
What a ride! Sun was out and it was fantastic to be out.
I rode over from Camberley as usual on snowy/icy roads. Got to Lower Star Post and the start of the red trail and I guess the snow was about 5 inches deep. More than in Camberley and it did make for tricky riding
I rode the blue trail all the way round. Under the trees the trail had around 1-2 inches and made for great riding, only the open bits were a bit harder but other riders had been on and flatten the snow a bit.
At one point there was a big branch across the trail which I guess had been bought down by the weight of the snow and in another point the smaller trees and bushes near the edge of the trail had been bent so low that I nearly had my chin on the handlebars to get under.
Followed a couple of other riders in the open section and they both went over but I managed to get all the way round without coming off. I did have a couple of 'moments' though.
I must say that I rather enjoyed passing all the riders on their clockwork bikes today all out of breath from the added drag of the snow but was well received by them all.
I left the bike in standard mode which is the default setting at turn on today and did 13 miles and got back with around 50% of the battery left.
Hope I haven't waffled on too much but I had a fantastic time. So much fun! Picture in the one pic/word thread.
E'POWAH Rules.
Regards, Mark.
P.S. Bloody knackered now though.
