Hi all,
Has anyone had this happen to their shimano battery? I went to release the battery from the downtube after my ride at the weekend and the release bolt wasn't doing anything. I could turn it freely +/- 90 degrees, it wasn't sprung back and the battery didn't release from the frame. I then noticed some rattling noise from inside the downtube and then the bolt itself just fell out.
I shook the bits loose and this is what came out. Clearly this cam is supposed to release the battery when you rotate that bolt 90 degrees clockwise. The little grub screw holding the cam on the end end obviously came off and now I can't release the battery. I've tried flicking the latch down with a tiny screw driver through the tiny gap between the battery and battery holder, but no joy. Any ideas?
